City to try again for Tagliafico in January

Despite the summer transfer window only just closing, Manchester City are already looking ahead to January. It's the result of three months failing to secure one of their top targets, Nicolás Tagliafico.
Pep Guardiola asked his board for a left-back. It is worth bearing in mind that the only player they currently have in that position is Benajmin Mendy, which last season forced Guardiola to bring a converted Zinchenko back into the fold. However, that reinforcement hasn't arrived.
The Ajax player was very keen to join both the Citizens and Manchester United, who ended up going for Alex Telles instead. And, given the fact that negotiations never broke down over the summer, 'The Sun' claim that City will bring him to the Etihad.
As it stands, the Dutch side are asking for 26 million euros for Tagliofico. The Argentina international has proved invaluable for Ajax since arriving from Independiente de Avellaneda in January 2018.
